Uptown Manhattan has an unmistakable attitude and flair that always gets reflected in its fashion sense, its music and, of course, the style of basketball. It’s tough to find anyone who embodies Harlem hoops more than the team’s coach, Mousey, but the team’s assistant comes close: in the Battle of Boroughs, the squad was joined by God Shamgod, the ball-handing wizard and streetball legend who took his talents to the top levels of pro basketball. Despite the expert assistance and a big afternoon from Sidiki Johnson (14 points and 15 rebounds), Harlem was felled in the first round by the eventual champs from Queens.
